Knar (2026)
Beneath the tranquil canopy of a secluded settlement, solemn preparations commence for a life’s final journey. The remains of veteran Bhimsen Chhetri are meticulously secured, limbs fastened and shrouded according to age-old customs, while grieving villagers observe in hushed reverence. Just as the ceremonial route takes shape, the narrative fractures backward in time. Decades earlier, a much younger Bhimsen teams up with a seasoned elder and a fresh-faced youth to shoulder the heavy burden of their deceased companion, Balmiki. Guided through golden crop expanses toward the water’s edge for burial flames, the trio halts for respite. When two members slip away into the dense forest to harvest dry timber, our protagonist finds himself isolated beside the motionless figure. What transpires next shatters conventional understanding and plunges viewers into a haunting cinematic mystery.
