In the Shadows, We Lose the Sense of Colour (2026)

At thirteen, Katka crossed paths with Roman, a forty-year-old man whose actions would redefine her reality. Chachaland summer camp, a sanctuary where childhood joy once flourished, transformed into a landscape of exploitation. The fallout rippled through decades marked by grueling therapy, chronic depression, and the lingering grip of PTSD. Emerging as an adult, Katka reclaimed her agency by launching a courageous blog and filing a lawsuit to hold Roman accountable in court. This raw and riveting film serves as a poignant documentary of survival, illustrating how trauma leaves an indelible mark long after the abuse ceases, while proving that breaking the silence is a harrowing yet essential step toward empowerment and healing.
