Dunganda Street Sounds (2026)

A vibrant celebration of Yolngu culture, language, and community, Dunganda Street Sounds brought together musicians from Ramingining’s Dunganda Crescent and the surrounding area. With visual direction from Jason Durrurranga and Michael Dawu, this early music-video anthology—a kind of proto-YouTube collection—shows senior men from Waak Waak Djungi guiding the next generations. Its independent CD release made it widely known across north-east Arnhem Land, while the accompanying film has rarely been seen in the years since; it is shared here from the digital archive of project coordinator Allen Murphy.
