Dream of Birds (2026)
Director: Martín Benchimol
Cast: Gabriel Mindlin, Ana Amador
When a forest goes silent, what is truly lost? Argentinian physicist Gabriel Mindlin follows clues hidden in the sounds birds make during sleep and discovers a quieter crisis: an extinction not of species, but of memory. Determined to bring vanished melodies back before they are gone forever, he embarks on a mission that blends detective-style investigation with frontier science. His search takes him to the dusty 1960s archives of a Buenos Aires naturalist, where evidence confirms that some bird songs no longer resonate anywhere in the living world. To test whether these lost songs can return, Mindlin turns to robotic tutors, exploring whether young birds can learn the old melodies and carry them forward once more.
