Além da Aparência, Nossa Persistência. (2026)

This documentary journeys through the streets, churches, and living memories of Ouro Preto, Brazil, uncovering the roots that have shaped the nation’s history and the voices that refused to be erased. It returns to a past defined by slavery, faith, spirituality, and the resilience of people whose contributions have too often been overlooked. Through discovery and reflection, the film reveals a history that still breathes within Brazilian culture, art, and traditions, inviting viewers to see beyond monuments and accepted narratives. Understanding these roots also means honoring those who, despite efforts to silence them, remain present in who we are today.
