Drawing inspiration from Usman Awang’s Kurang Ajar, this documentary examines the uneasy space between manners and courage, conformity and freedom. Through the work of Freedom Film Network, it reveals how film can open room to question, provoke, and speak truth to power—while asking a vital question: can we challenge authority and injustice without losing our sense of adab?
