Tote Oma (2026)

East Germany, 1989. Margot’s life moves in quiet, carefully ordered rhythms beside her husband, a loyal party man. Household chores, television, and the same familiar rituals fill each nearly identical day. In a system that promises security and stability, the sameness of her existence becomes harder and harder to ignore. Then a young neighbor and a goldfish bring unexpected motion into Margot’s rigid routine.
