River Travellers (2026)

Born in 1965 at Moederheil, a maternity home in Breda, Emanuela ‘Reiziger’ was left there by her mother. River Travellers follows the long road she has walked since—a journey shaped by trauma, loss, and grief that eventually brings her to the river beaches of the Waal and into contact with the river travellers. It is a story about surrendering to life’s small moments and discovering that tomorrow does not have to look like today. As she carefully cleans the fragments she finds, room opens for a gentler acceptance of her own brokenness.
