Do Not Rewind (2026)

Do Not Rewind is a 2026 psychological thriller short film directed by Vivian Owen. The story centers on Eden, who finds herself trapped in a windowless room with nothing but a VHS tape for company. As she attempts to decode the cryptic warnings left by her predecessor, Jess, she must unravel the mystery to escape the twisted games of an unseen stalker.

The film explores themes of isolation and paranoia, using the analog medium of a VHS tape as both a plot device and a narrative hook. With a cast including Nicole Shiflett, MerryRose Howley, and Michael Jacobson, the movie relies heavily on tension and atmospheric storytelling rather than action sequences. The limited setting forces the characters to rely on their wits and the fragmented information provided by the tape to survive.

• Vivian Owen makes her mark in short-form horror with this tightly confined production.
• Nicole Shiflett stars as the protagonist Eden, carrying the emotional weight of the film's suspense.
• MerryRose Howley appears in the supporting cast, contributing to the eerie dynamic between the characters.
