while I was away (2026)

Experience the haunting beauty of while I was away, a thought-provoking short film that captures a seemingly mundane gathering of four longtime friends. Beneath the easy banter and shared reminiscences, a quiet sense of alienation slowly takes hold for one individual. Through a tapestry of half-remembered moments and surreal imagery, the narrative dissolves the boundary between physical proximity and emotional presence. At its core, this cinematic exploration delves into modern friendship, inner solitude, and the invisible gaps that emerge among crowds, proving that you can never truly be alone yet still feel profoundly isolated.
