In 1931 British India, The Last Meal centers on Bhagat Singh’s unforeseen final wish: for his last meal to be prepared by Bhoga, a sweeper at Lahore Jail. As Bhoga faces the entrenched prejudice of untouchability, this request becomes a powerful statement of dignity, equality, and defiance against the rigid social divides of the era.
