Ten to Twenty Spoil Heaps (2026)

Where once fertile ground stretched out, only towering mounds of industrial residue now mark the horizon. This contemplative film surveys the lingering footprint of East Germany’s extractive industry, tracing how relentless digging reshaped the earth, defined generations of workers, and erased familiar roots. A deeply introspective journey through ecological transformation, human toil, and the quiet mourning of vanishing homelands.
