End of the Wall (2026)
Director: Laurentia Genske
In the desert corridor between Sásabe and Nogales, a border wall was built in 2020. About 30 kilometers farther on, the rusted steel-bar barrier ends, and the U.S.–Mexico border is defined only by rugged hills and ravines. Severe drought and blistering heat make this one of the world’s most dangerous overland migration routes. On the American side, volunteers provide water, food, and medical aid to thousands of migrants. Their motivations differ, but they are united by a shared refusal to stand by or look away.
