Liberté, la statue qui voulait changer le monde (2026)
Director: Julien Johan
Cast: Léonie Simaga, Yann Lesvenan, Laurent Mothe, Joseph Anthony Naranjo, Morgane Branchoux
This iconic monument was gifted by France to the newly born American Republic and stands as the first crowd-funded monument in history. As a powerful symbol of freedom and emancipation, it took two decades to complete. The film uses original 3D virtual reconstructions of Auguste Bartholdi’s Paris atelier and travels back in time to place viewers at the heart of the Statue’s original construction, revealing the founding ideals of our democracies.
