EXP. MASC. AD (2026)

A short archival film pieced together from 2011 Nokia 5230 videos shot during the filmmaker’s high school years, when recording was simply an act of capture with no defined purpose. Fifteen years later, that raw footage is reimagined through editing on a Samsung A26. Using playful and violent fragments, the film probes the adolescent heterosexual masculine experience while tracing the mobile phone’s evolution from a tool that democratized audiovisual recording to one that, by 2026, also made editing far more accessible.
