From under a Highway Bridge... is a tiny, tactile-looking short in which an abandoned toy train attempts to survive alongside a toy excavator that appears hostile. The film turns discarded miniature objects into the protagonists of a simple story about coexistence and survival.
Directed, written, edited, and photographed by Matas Kaikaris, the project has a strongly handmade independent character. Its unusual premise and miniature scale make it a distinctive example of short-form visual storytelling built around objects rather than conventional human characters.
From under a Highway Bridge... has a festival-oriented release profile and may later appear through creator-led short-film platforms.
