Agia (2026)

As Albania’s totalitarian regime collapses in the 1990s, Agia, a young woman in a remote village bound by strict codes of honour and silence, is denied the chance to learn her family’s craft. Her first act of rebellion is to secretly master a tradition reserved for men. That choice draws her into a larger world where she boldly claims her work, her visibility, and her own desires. Her delayed coming of age becomes a quiet act of defiance, echoing a nation struggling to redefine itself.
