Welcome to Rozumov, a village where gossip travels fast, old grudges never die, and every scandal eventually slips out from behind closed gates. For years, two stubborn families—the Šmrhas and the Průšas—have been locked in a bitter feud, each side utterly convinced that truth, honor, and good sense belong to them alone. Yet their children, Karel and Marie, are secretly in love, defying their fathers’ wishes. After another explosive family argument, Marie shocks the village by agreeing to appear on the reality TV show Blind Wedding. Karel is devastated, the parents are outraged, and a television crew—along with an eccentric Swedish metalhead—descends on Rozumov. Then, in an alcohol-fueled haze, the Šmrhas and Průšas strike an unexpected truce and hatch a plan to spare their children televised humiliation: they will secretly marry Karel and Marie off by proxy.
