"quarto" (2026)

"quarto" is a one-minute 2026 Brazilian animated short directed by Pietro Ximenes. The film uses a fan, a toy car, a miniature city, comic books and a Japanese figure as recurring visual elements.

The images move forward and then in reverse, accompanied by the song "Ska" by Os Paralamas do Sucesso. The project began as a school assignment for a rebellious fourteen-year-old boy, but the finished piece becomes more personal than its simple assignment brief suggests.
