Does Sweden still hide any true wilds? What do the country’s most remote corners—far from any asphalt or marked path—actually look like? These are the questions that drive filmmaker Johan Granstrand and wilderness expert Sebastian Fall as they ditch their maps, drop their GPS units, and switch off their phones to step into the primeval mountain woodlands of Ultevis. Their goal: to witness what might be Scandinavia’s final untouched frontier. But as they push deeper, the boundary between human footprint and pristine terrain starts to blur, forcing them to realize that real wilderness isn’t a destination you find—it’s a mindset you must surrender to.
