The Wedding Singer (2026)

Set in 2001, this story follows Şahnaz, a young jazz vocalist who leaves Ankara for Istanbul with dreams of commanding grand stages beside her guitarist friend Ulaş. When venue owner Muzaffer spots her talent, she becomes the resident singer at Urban Jazz Bar. Yet as the years bring personal heartbreak, financial turmoil, and the pandemic, the country’s shifting landscape rattles both her life and her aspirations. After the bar is turned into a wedding hall, she walks away from it all. When she finally returns, Şahnaz realizes that what once felt like failure is actually a fresh start, and that wedding venues can also be genuine stages where people come together to share joy, grief, and hope.
