After fleeing an abusive marriage in Aotearoa, Rebecca brings her son back to her homeland in the Cook Islands, only to face a new challenge: finding their place within a tight-knit island community and reconnecting with her family's longstanding custom of crafting ei, the traditional floral garlands.
