Ka Pō Lōʻihi (2026)
Director: Josiah Jordan Castillo
In the experimental short Ka pō lōʻihi, a Native Hawaiian named Kekai is born into a shattered household where violence, addiction, and corruption strip away his childhood. After his single mother dies, he is left to fend for himself, fighting to escape a generational cycle of systemic drug abuse and imprisonment. Now a broken, defeated man, Kekai must confront his childhood wounds in the isolation of his cell. Can he move past his own ignorance and find his way through the deep darkness toward Hoʻoponopono?
