Etched In Pavement (2026)

Etched In Pavement travels to a distant Detroit neighborhood where hardship and hope share the same streets. The documentary follows Dwane Taylor and Michael Futrell, two young men who turn fighting into a language of survival, purpose, and community. Shot over four years, it traces their intertwined journeys through youth combat sports, professional boxing, and their grassroots Guns Down, Gloves Up street-fighting movement. As they face fatherhood, loss, and the influence of those who came before them, the film offers an intimate portrait of generations caught between violence and purpose, survival and legacy.
