Can I Talk to You? (2026)

Night on a city street: a barefoot teenage girl with her sweatpants cuffs rolled up lights a cigarette and places it between her lips, then connects to the probation office’s voice-monitoring system. She repeats the meaningless numbers the system requests aloud—four, five, six, seven, four, five, six, seven. Her face never appears, yet her expression feels almost visible.
