Drowning (2026)

A sudden breakdown strands Pietro and his autistic son, Jacopo, on the road to Puglia—until a kind local mechanic, Oliviero, comes to their rescue. The pair finds shelter with Agata, a bar owner whose establishment once doubled as a guesthouse, where her spirited assistant, Gaia, soon forms a deep bond with Pietro. Life in this sleepy village crawls at a hypnotic, uneventful rhythm, as if the whole town is holding its breath for a turning point. That fragile stillness shatters when a troubling event erupts, trapping father and son in a place they never meant to stay and forcing their journey—and their futures—to a halt.
