Maria of Maria (2026)

Set in Brazil in 1940, this story follows Maria, a young outlaw who learns she is pregnant just as her band is destroyed. She escapes to the Center-West to give birth and rebuild her life, joining Getúlio Vargas’s March to the West government initiative, which offered land to small farmers. In the first half, Maria faces the raw power of untamed nature and learns that farming is an art. In the second, her past returns to haunt her, forcing her to draw on her fiercest and most unbreakable courage.
