Born on April 20, 1934, in Brighton, Michigan, Rosemary Peony Walten was a multifaceted creative force—an artist, filmmaker, and composer. After honing her craft at the Brighton Public College for Arts, she poured her heart into works that earned a loyal local following. The 1960s saw her bring a wave of imaginative short films to life, including titles like "The Dancing Sheep" and "Crescendo," among others. By the 1970s, she teamed up with her husband, Jack Walten, and close friend Felix Kranken to join B.S.I., where her inventive spirit gave birth to the beloved characters that became the face of the neighborhood eatery, Bon's Burgers. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Rosemary was the heart of a warm, close-knit family, raising three children alongside her devoted spouse. A pillar of the Brighton Community Church, she co-hosted numerous charity events with her husband, often donating her own artwork to worthy causes. Then, on July 19, 1974, Rosemary vanished without a trace—and despite all efforts, she was never seen again.
