I nisidiani (2026)

For the past twelve months, a collective of seven authors from Naples—dubbed “I Nisidiani” and including Viola Ardone, Riccardo Brun, Maurizio de Giovanni, Daniela De Crescenzo, Antonio Menna, Valeria Parrella, and Patrizia Rinaldi—has been weaving a novel inside the walls of a correctional facility. Yet this is no ordinary literary project: born from a writing workshop behind bars, the experience reshapes not only the manuscript but the very lives of the young inmates, leaving an indelible mark on both the storytellers and the incarcerated souls who find their voice through the pages.
