The Heritage (2026)

Árpi, whom his sons simply call Boss, has spent years living alone since losing the wife he shared more than five decades with. Lately, he has burned through nearly all his savings, and his sons Attila and Kristóf only discover this when the electricity is shut off because of unpaid bills. For a man who lives so modestly, the situation makes no sense, yet he refuses to explain where one and a half million forints disappeared. Working together, Attila and Kristóf try to draw out the truth and learn that he gave the money to Hajnalka, a young woman with a troubled past. But who is Hajnalka, and why have they never heard of her? The old man insists he is in love; his sons believe someone is taking advantage of him. Each person holds tight to a different version of the truth, but the truth must come out. Their longest night begins—and then Hajnalka shows up at the front door.
