The Cord (2026)

Kuanysh is on the verge of attending an American university and is the pride of his single mother, Dinara. Divorced while he was young, Dinara has dedicated her life to raising him, but as a teenager he now has a world she knows nothing about. One night, Kuanysh goes to a club with friends and gets caught up in an assault—a case that turns into homicide when the victim dies during the investigation. With the wealthy, influential parents of his friends trying to make him the scapegoat, Dinara must take matters into her own hands to protect her son.
