My Time Machine (2026)

Set in the years after World War I, this time-travel tale follows Adam, a young boy with Asperger’s syndrome whose imagination is ignited by H. G. Wells’ The Time Machine. Dreaming of a journey to the future, he shuts himself away in an old silo to construct a time machine of his own. Years later, Adam finally finishes the device, only for it to explode the moment he activates it. Leaving the silo, he finds a mud wall carrying a message carved by his mother. Once outside, he is stunned by the sight of cars, airplanes, and towering skyscrapers. Has ordinary time simply carried him into the future, or has he genuinely traveled through time and space?
