Then, a desperate jog through the park collides with a stranger’s coffee cup, sending it flying. In that moment of sheer humiliation, he’s ready to confess his bizarre affliction—when, miraculously, his fingers uncurl. Elated, he races to the registry office, convinced the crisis is over.
