El pintor de los milagros (2026)

When a tragic accident leaves his daughter in a coma, veteran journalist Francisco searches for a way to rebuild his shattered life. He takes on what appears to be a small assignment: tracing the origins of the ancient Black Christ mural revered by millions. The investigation brings him to Santiago, who shares the forgotten story of the image’s mysterious creator—a young man enslaved in seventeenth-century Peru and remembered only as The Painter. Despite discrimination and immense suffering, he channels his pain into a remarkable masterpiece: a Black Christ that would become, across the centuries, the most significant symbol of faith in the nation and one of the most venerated in the world. As Francisco pieces together this powerful tale of hope, resilience, and redemption, he begins a journey that transforms his understanding of faith and renews his belief that miracles can still happen.
