100 Jahre Route 66 - Highway der Träume? (2026)

Dreaming of the open road? For countless travelers, Route 66 is the ultimate pilgrimage—a once-in-a-lifetime journey from the glitter of Los Angeles to the grit of Chicago, preferably astride a thundering Harley or behind the wheel of a vintage American classic. It’s the chance to step into a living movie set: endless prairie skies, sun-scorched deserts where crimson mesas shimmer on the horizon, and those tiny, timeless towns that feel frozen in a postcard. A century on, the Mother Road still whispers of freedom, wild adventure, and the golden promise of the American Dream. Yet beneath that iconic asphalt lies a deeper story—one of the overlooked communities who call its roadside home, whose lives aren’t woven into the legend. In that contrast, Route 66 becomes a mirror to America itself: bold, beautiful, and brimming with contradictions.
