Ghazal-e Sorkh (2026)

1976 marked a turning point when activists urged a boycott of the Shiraz Arts Festival. Several celebrated global artists quickly answered the call, while others joined with hesitation. Iranian newspaper Kayhan declared, "The giants aren’t coming this year." Weaving together fragments from films ordered by the Shah alongside works and writings outlawed during those same years, these are narratives ignited by so-called 'crime-producing' poems—each one circling back to an unquenchable flame.
