Rescue (2026)

Under a silent Mediterranean sky, a Doctors Without Borders rescue vessel discovers a sinking rubber dinghy. Dozens flail in the sea. Among them: Roro, a Yemeni mother, alongside her husband Hani, their infant, and two small boys. Mid-rescue, a Libyan armed group storms in, seizing Roro and her children and forcing them back to Libya. Hani is pulled to safety—and lands in Europe without them. One family, shattered across the sea. As Hani battles from abroad to bring them back together, Roro endures captivity in Libya, fighting to keep her children alive. Caught inside a brutal system intertwined with EU border policies, she refuses to stop trying to reach the water again. RESCUE is a harrowing true tale of endurance and injustice—anchored by the unbreakable will of a young mother.
