Roxana - A climate story (2026)

Deep in the Peruvian Amazon, countless Indigenous villages remain cut off from dependable power and digital access—even as massive oil and gas operations push deeper into their ancestral lands. It’s within this clash of worlds that Roxana’s journey unfolds in Alto Mishagua. Arriving back home amid the pandemic, she finds her community more secluded than before, while elders sound the alarm with rising intensity: the jungle is transforming, rainfall patterns are becoming erratic, and survival itself hangs in the balance. Driven by this mounting uncertainty, Roxana joins forces with fellow youth to dream up an alternative path forward—one powered by clean, self-sufficient energy that honors both tradition and tomorrow.
