Documentary
From boot camp to the brutal jungles of Vietnam and back again, *Tracers* chronicles the harrowing journey of a squad of young American soldiers—following those who make it home as they wrestle with the chaos of reintegrating into a world that feels foreign. More than just a war film, this documentary-infused drama honors the legendary stage production born from the raw testimony of actual Vietnam veterans, a piece that reshaped how art confronts conflict. Director Perniciaro masterfully weaves archival reality with powerful reenactments, bridging the gap between the play's creation and the real-life horrors that fueled it, to deliver a visceral, layered portrait of service, survival, and the scars that endure.
