La casa (2026)
Director: Eva Villaseñor
Cast: Rodrigo García, Gonzalo García Barcha, Gabriel García Márquez
For years, Gabriel García Márquez dreamed of a novel called *La Casa (The House)*, shaped by memories of the Aracataca home he shared with his grandparents. Though scattered fragments surfaced, it wasn’t until he settled into a different house—this time in Mexico City—that the story fully unfolded, giving birth to *Cien años de soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude)*, his masterwork. Directed by Eva Villaseñor, this documentary follows the writer’s sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo García Barcha, as they revisit the home of their childhood—a space where memory bends time and past becomes present.
