Agata the Writer (2026)

Leaving behind the familiar streets of Sydney, Agata arrives in Sarajevo with a singular ambition: to pen a novel about war. Yet, her mission is immediately met with skepticism, as the city’s residents challenge her outsider perspective. Plagued by creative doubt, she stumbles upon a bizarre enigma—a series of provocative and scandalous artworks begin to vanish without a trace. When she finally begins to draft her manuscript, she discovers her narrative isn’t centered on the conflict itself, but on the profound, understated fortitude of ordinary people enduring life in its aftermath. Her time in Sarajevo transforms her, granting her a profound new appreciation for the weight of narrative and the heavy, sacred duty that every storyteller must carry.
