Solace (2026)
Director: Rodney Evans
Cast: Brinsley Evans, Ayaan Diop, Donnell Jones, Christopher Laing, Leanne Antonio
A filmmaker’s brother delivers a eulogy at their uncle’s memorial, setting the stage for this genre-blurring comedic docufiction. Weaving vintage family snapshots with wildly imaginative animated sequences, the film dives into towering childhood anxieties, the ever-evolving bonds between relatives, and the quiet labor of caring across generations.
