Motherland (2026)

Patria I, a medium-length film by Juan Ibarlucía and Magela Crosignani, reinvents the Baroque oratorio for Argentina’s post-industrial landscape in 2026. Inspired by a South American reinterpretation of the Cain myth, this multimedia work fuses music, poetry, performance, and installation art into a gripping sonic and emotional voyage—ranging from extreme violence to deep compassion and tenderness.
