darker (2026)
Drawing from David Lang’s meticulous and subdued musical composition, Bill Morrison crafts what he calls a gently swaying vision of the sublime. In this darker work, performers—actors, dancers, and acrobats—fade in and out of a churning swamp of time. Known for weaving decaying nitrate footage into his films, Morrison conjures a ghostly photochemical atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll.
