Marked (2026)

A hybrid cinematic meditation blending Super 8 and 16mm footage, this experimental work delves into the visibility of queer closeness. The focal point is a pair of bare-chested men, intertwined in a slow dance—a tender, defiant gesture in itself. As hand-etched imagery is scratched directly onto the 16mm frames, their forms are alternately illuminated and shrouded, traced and wiped away. Through this tactile, layered technique, *Marked* becomes a living study of how queer affection is molded, honored, and wounded by the world it exists within.
