Cinema Aekwan is a Korean short drama about Ji-hoon and Soo-min, two people who spend one last afternoon together while Soo-min prepares to leave Korea. Their conversation becomes increasingly emotional as they revisit an earlier argument and wander through the streets of East Incheon.
Kim Dong-jin keeps the film intimate and observational, using the city itself as a quiet backdrop for a relationship reaching a point of transition. Lee Geon-hwi and Jeon Hee-yeon carry the film with a two-person performance centered on distance, memory and unfinished feelings.
Cinema Aekwan has a Korean short-film festival release and a confirmed Netflix listing in at least some territories.
