Fly (2026)

This is the story of Skylar, a young Black ballet prodigy and scholarship standout at an elite academy, who has built a fortress of discipline to survive the crushing weight of expectation. But when their mother can’t keep up with tuition and a paid apprenticeship becomes the only lifeline, perfection turns into a raw fight for survival. Enter Jay’ko—a wildly gifted classmate whose untamed artistry shatters Skylar’s rigid world. What starts as a bitter rivalry slowly unravels into a tender, queer romance, forcing Skylar to question everything. As the final audition looms, they must choose: cling to flawless control, or let go and risk everything for true artistic freedom.
