SELF+TAPE (2026)

SELF+TAPE is a 2026 British comedy-drama short about three actors auditioning for the same career-defining role in a major British romantic comedy. Each actor records the audition from home, turning the normally private self-tape process into the setting for competition, insecurity, humor, and self-discovery.

James Cleave wrote, directed, and produced the film, which stars Boo Jackson, Pippa Moss, and Cheska Hill-Wood. The production deliberately embraced tight constraints, shooting all three scenes and twelve pages in one day at a single location.
