La Scala: Cosi Fan Tutte (2026)

A sparkling 1790 opera buffa, freshly staged! Mozart and Da Ponte’s brilliant comedy of love, loyalty, and human caprice gets a riveting new production from visionary director Robert Carsen, starring an elite ensemble. In a sly wager, Don Alfonso (Gerald Finley) dares Ferrando and Guglielmo (Giovanni Sala and Luca Micheletti) to tempt each other’s betrothed—Fiordiligi and Dorabella (Elsa Dreisig and Nina van Essen). When both women surrender to the charade, the truth explodes, forcing the four lovers to face the messy consequences.
