Love Stories from Fukuoka 21 (2026)

A chance encounter at a seaside salon in Itoshima City sparks an unforgettable romance between Minami Yoshimura, a high school senior, and Ren Hatae, a 26-year-old hairstylist. Captivated by Ren’s striking presence, Minami pursues him with fearless determination. But Ren, with the calm detachment of an adult, gently deflects her advances: “If you still feel the same way when you turn 20, we’ll talk.” Unshaken, Minami’s steadfast devotion eventually wins him over, and the two finally come together. Their happiness, however, is short-lived. When Minami leaves to study abroad in South Korea, Ren suddenly ends their relationship without explanation—no reason, no closure. Years later, Minami uncovers a devastating truth, a cruel twist of fate so painful it could make anyone question destiny itself. Bound by a secret they can never share, the two ultimately choose to walk a path of thorny love, embracing a bond as beautiful as it is agonizing.
